Hack your summer hydration with this Watermelon Coconut Electrolytes Juice.

Is watermelon juice healthier than water?

It’s just the start of summer, but already a record-breaking heat wave had us all feeling overheated, tired, and dehydrated on a whole new level.

If you are experiencing headaches, excessive thirst, exhaustion, aches and pains, and irritability, and if you have sweated a lot while being outside, chances are your body is severely dehydrated.

Dehydration occurs when you lose more fluids than you take in. Dehydration may happen on a particularly hot day if you sweat a lot, or if you're sick with fever, diarrhea, or vomiting. It can also occur if don't drink enough water, or if you're taking a medication that increases your pee (urine) output.

How dehydration affects the skin?

Dehydrated skin reveals itself through dry skin, itchy skin, and/or an uneven complexion. It is not the same as having naturally dry skin. Dry skin is caused by a lack of natural oils. Dehydrated skin is caused by a lack of water and is more of a concern that should be addressed by a dermatologist. Dehydrated skin occurs due to your body losing more water than it is taking in. This can be caused by not drinking enough water or sweating too much causing you to lose water.

If your skin is dehydrated, you may notice itchiness, dullness, under-eye circles, sunken eyes, and/or more noticeable fine lines.

Severely dehydrated skin symptoms may include dizziness, dry mouth, lightheadedness, and/or weakness. To determine if you are experiencing dry skin or dehydrated skin, pinch a small area of your cheek. If it wrinkles, your skin needs hydration.

How to Rehydrate Your Skin from the inside out?

The first step to rehydration is drinking enough water throughout the day. This keeps your skin hydrated and prevents dehydration. Drinking enough water throughout the day also helps clear your complexion and brighten your skin tone.

Unfortunately in the case of severe DEHYDRATION, water itself is not enough.

While 99% of our sweat is simply water, the other 1% of the sweat is electrolytes, which are important nutrients our cells need. Minerals such as potassium, magnesium, calcium, and sodium work together to produce electrolytes, which help move water around in our cells, as well as hold water where it’s needed.

The Watermelon Coconut Electrolytes Juice will give you the perfect amount of essential minerals and electrolytes, quench your thirst, and give you vital energy.

The diuretic properties of watermelon can help flush out excess water and toxins from your body. This can help reduce bloating and improve your digestion.

Watermelon is a hydration superstar composed of 92 percent water, and eight percent sugar and contains essential rehydration salts calcium, magnesium, potassium, and sodium.

Watermelon is also high in antioxidants and amino acids which have ANTI-INFLAMMATORY PROPERTIES.

Coconut water is high in potassium and helps to protect, strengthen and flush out the liver and kidneys. Coconut water is also super hydrating.
